When you use Bijli Bill Checker, the following data may be processed strictly for fulfilling your bill inquiry request:
- Consumer Reference Number / Customer ID: The 10 to 14 digit identification code printed on your electricity bill.
- Selected Distribution Company (DISCO): (e.g. LESCO, MEPCO, IESCO, FESCO, GEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, QESCO, SEPCO).
- Bill Query Results: Public bill attributes returned from PITC portals, including consumer name, address, current units consumed, meter readings, payable amounts, and payment status.
2. How Your Information is Used
Any reference number entered is used exclusively to fetch and display your billing record and generate duplicate printable bill statements. We do not maintain user accounts or require sensitive credentials such as passwords, CNIC numbers, or bank account PINs.
3. Local Storage & Browser Preferences
To provide a convenient experience, our application uses standard HTML5 LocalStorage on your local device for:
- Remembering your preferred city and electricity company (e.g., Lahore / LESCO) across browser sessions.
- Storing your UI appearance preference (Light Mode or Dark Mode).
This information remains entirely within your local browser storage and is never transferred to third-party advertising trackers.
4. Third-Party Portals & Service Providers
Our service interfaces in real-time with electricity utility servers managed by the Power Information Technology Company (PITC) of Pakistan. When requesting the "Print Original Bill" or "View Bill" feature, your browser securely requests the PITC stylesheet and emblem assets directly from PITC content delivery networks.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS) across all communications. Inquiries are executed in-memory with strict input sanitization to protect against injection vulnerabilities and unauthorized data interception.
6. Children's Privacy
Our service is designed for utility consumers in Pakistan and does not knowingly collect or target information from minors under the age of 13.
7. Updates to This Policy
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements or regulatory updates. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to this page.
